Welcome!
My name is Paige and I am twenty-three years old. I grew up on the unceded, ancestral and traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Wathuth First Nations. I moved to Victoria to attend the University of Victoria about three years ago. I started my degree off in the department of Humanities and had declared in a major of Gender Studies. I knew I wanted to become a teacher after my first year, it was more so figuring out the route I was going to take. I transferred to the Education program and am now working towards completing my second semester of my second year. I hope to go back and finish my Gender Studies degree because I not only found the information very interesting and useful, I think that my learnings can be applied in my future classrooms and teachings.
I grew up very sporty, I was involved in soccer, softball, baseball, basketball, and volleyball. Although some of these young passions carried on into my adult years, such as softball and soccer, within the past few years I have picked up a strong passion towards golfing. I think the influence of my sister and brother had a big impact on me, it has been a great opportunity for us to catch up and have some fun. There have been major advancements applied to golf games, strategies, and practicing, which I am excited to explore.
Some of my passions routed outside of sports include, crocheting, listening to music, board games, puzzles, and walking. Crocheting has been a recent hobby that I have picked up. Right now I am working towards making a balaclava. I am usually always listening to music, when timing is appropriate, but I am always listening to music while I am crocheting. My favourite music artists include, Zach Bryan, Luke Combs, Tyler Childers and Shania Twain. Another great time for music is during board games and puzzles. Some of my favourite board games are Code Names, Clue, The Game of Life, and Settlers of Catan.
Paige 🙂
