Golf is and has been considered a predominantly male domain game, but there has been a transformative shift where more women are seen throughout the golf game. From pioneering players who shattered stereotypes to trailblazing leaders that encourage all women to try something if they want, even if it is a male dominant sport, the women’s golf game is evolving.
Alexa Pano is an American Professional Golfer at the age of 20. She began playing golf at the age of 5 and was the first three-time national finalist of the Drive, Chip and Putt competition that she partook in. She was the youngest golfer ever, at age 11, to play in the LPGA of Japan Tour. She was the youngest player, age 15, at the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur. And in April 2022 she had the title of professional.
Esther Henseleit, born January 14th, 1999, a professional German gofer and apart of the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour. Her title of professional was granted to her in January of 2019, when she qualified third for Ladies European Tour. Her professional wins consists of the December 2019 and February 2022 Magical Kenya Ladies Open.
Ryann O’Toole is a 37 year old American professional golfer. She was born in California and played college golf at UCLA. And funny enough, O’Toole holds the course record at Royal Colwood Golf Club here in Victoria. She was crowned professional in 2009 and won her first LPGA Tour in 2021.
